Performance Analysis and Optimization of Delayed Offloading System With Opportunistic Fog Node

چکیده

Fog node (FN) close to Internet of Things (IoT) devices can be exploited offload the computing task IoT devices. However, when lots tasks are simultaneously offloaded from multiple devices, FN overloaded. To mitigate this problem, we introduce a DYSON: DelaYed offloading System with Opportunistic fog Node (OFN) such as vehicles and mobile phones which opportunistically reduce load static thanks their mobility. In DYSON, maximize effect OFN, device cannot use it delays expectation future contacts OFN. assess performance develop an analytic model for opportunistic probability that Based on model, derive optimal delay timer while maintaining processed within deadline below target probability. Extensive simulation results provided show superiority DYSON.
